Awards Program
Each district and local league has individuals who should be recognized for their commitment to and participation in the Little League program. Your participation in the Little League Awards Program will help demonstrate the benefits and values of volunteerism, family and sportsmanship.

June 1 is the deadline for you to submit your nominations for the Little League Awards Program sponsored through the generous support of the Chartis Insurance. The respective forms for the individual awards can be downloaded below.

The Little League Awards Program recognizes the following categories for nominations:

  • Good Sport:  Designed to honor Little Leaguers, aged 9 - 12, who exhibit the values of Little League: character, courage and loyalty. These children learn what it means to truly be part of a team and conduct themselves according to the principles of fair play and good sportsmanship.
  • Mom of the Year:  Recognize those mothers who have volunteered countless hours to their child’s participation in the Little League program. Their singular motivation is that their children have the opportunity to learn the value of teamwork, fair play, and discipline and enjoy the excitement and fun of summer days on a Little League field.
  • Volunteer of the Year:  Instituted to honor individuals who give selflessly of their time and efforts for the benefit of the children in their communities. These individuals have contributed a spirited and dedicated commitment to the ideals and goals of Little League Baseball.
  • Urban Initiative Volunteer of the Year:  Created to honor those in service to one or more Little League Urban Initiative programs.
  • Challenger Award:  Recognizes an individual whose loyal support and inspired volunteer commitment allows mentally and physically disabled youth the opportunity to enjoy the full benefits of the Little League program through participation in the Challenger Division.
The National recipients for each award and a guest will be the guests of Chartis and Little League International at the Little League Baseball World Series. The recipients will be provided with round-trip transportation and hotel accommodations. These individuals will be honored at the annual World Series Awards Breakfast and during pre-game ceremonies.   Send your completed nomination forms directly to Little League International in Williamsport, PA, for your nominee to be considered for national recognition. If you have any questions regarding the awards please contact Scott Rosenberg at srosenberg@littleleague.org.
